Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions of business apply between The Jobs Group (“the Company”) and the Employer (“the Client”). These are deemed accepted by the Client
when the Client requests details of Applicants or interviews an Applicant introduced by the Company. An “Applicant” is a person using our service for the
purpose of finding a new job.
It is the responsibility of the Client to take up references, obtain confirmation of qualifications and generally form an opinion as to the Applicant’s suitability.
The Client must undertake to notify the Company in writing of the intention to employ an Applicant introduced by the Company immediately in writing.
Introductions of Applicants are confidential. All Curriculum Vitaes (CV’s) and candidate details remain the property of the Company and sharing or disclosure of
these details to third parties is strictly prohibited.
Fees
Introduction fees are calculated as five percent of first year Gross Basic remuneration subject to a minimum fee of £2000.
Our invoice will be raised on the day the Applicant commences employment with the Client and the Client agrees to pay our invoice within 30 days from the invoice date.
The Company reserves the right to charge interest at 2% above the base rate of Barclays Bank on invoices not paid by the due date.
Payment to the Successful Applicant
Following completion of a three month probationary period by the Applicant, the Company will pay the Applicant fifty percent (50%) of the placement fee charged to
the Client.
Under no circumstances will this payment be made to the Applicant before the placement fee has been received from the Client.
Where applicable, the Applicant is responsible for declaring any resulting tax liability from this payment to the Inland Revenue.
Refunds
In the event that an engagement is terminated by the Client within three months of the engagement commencing, a 50% refund of the introductory fee will be made to
the Client.
Indemnity
The Client shall indemnify the Company against any losses, claims, demands, awards and liabilities incurred directly or indirectly from the recruitment of any
Applicant by the Client.
Law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
These Terms are effective from 1st January 2007 and supersede any previous terms.
